Fed up with the “Best-Of-80s-Factory-Sounds” of the UB-Xa? Maybe you’d like to check out “Dusk”, a soundset of 64 Behringer UB-Xa Presets tailored for contemporary electronic music. We’re talking Ambient, Melodic Techno, Dub Techno, and Electronica.

Behringer UB-Xa Presets Overview

Among the 20 pads, you’ll find loads of atmospheric textures, strings, and soundscapes. Plus, there are powerful basslines, melancholic leads, and intricate arpeggiator sounds in this pack. If you’re into dub techno and similar genres, you’ll get ten typical dub chords included, which can also vibe well with other styles. Additionally, there are four FX sounds to spice things up.

Diving into the Modulation Matrix

Electronic music thrives on dynamically playable and evolving sounds. The UB-Xa presets of the Dusk Collection make full use of the internal modulation capabilities of the UB-Xa in various ways.

Atrophy Settings

Additionally, with the different atrophy settings, you can give each preset an optimal foundation sound. This was also utilized in the Dusk Soundset, with each preset backed by a number indicating the optimal vintage atrophy setting. Of course, the presets work in other settings too, but for the best sound, you should select the underlying setting via Shift+Manual (Vintage).

Easy Installation

To transfer these presets to your Behringer UB-Xa, you will need a computer, a USB connection, and a SysEx librarian of your choice. There are free MIDI librarian applications such as „SysEx Librarian“ for Macintosh, or „MIDI-OX” for Windows. Please note that this sound pack will overwrite the existing presets in Bank A. So please make sure to backup your presets first.
