With “Artemis,” Dreadbox has expanded its lineup with an analog polyphonic synth that not only sounds excellent but also offers numerous exciting features for electronic music. Now, with “Medusa,” a new soundset has been released featuring 64 Dreadbox Artemis presets designed for Ambient, Electronica, Dub, and Melodic Techno. The video below gives a sonic impression.

Preset Overview Dreadbox Artemis "Medusa"

A total of 23 pads cover a wide spectrum—from warm analog layers to rhythmic textures and dystopian drones, providing the foundation for a track.

For melodies and added depth, 27 bass and lead sounds deliver everything from aggressive to subtle and melancholic tones. As with the pads, the stylistic focus is on atmospheric electronic music.

Naturally, there's also a selection of authentic Dub Techno sounds. The Medusa collection includes ten dub chords and pads that are characteristic of this driving genre. The Dreadbox Artemis sound pack is rounded off with four effect and percussion sounds.

Core Features of the Sounds: Aftertouch, Velocity, and Modwheel

Good sounds truly come to life when played expressively. That’s why, in most presets, key performance controls like Aftertouch, Velocity, and the Modwheel are individually assigned and tailored to the unique character of each sound.

Easy installation

In order to transfer this dreadbox Artemis sound pack, you’ll need a computer, a stable USB connection, and a SysEx librarian. You can use a MIDI librarian application such as „SysEx Librarian“ for Macintosh, or „MIDI-OX” for Windows to transmit programs or banks.
