"Limbic Drift" is the fourth and final chapter of the Sound Packs for Peak and Summit series. Drift includes 80 Novation Peak Presets that open up a world of motion textures, swirling arpeggios, and atmospheric pads. Featuring also numerous complex leads and basses, a wide array of arpeggiator sounds, and a selection of hypnotic dub chords, this sound set is an ideal choice for Ambient, Scoring, IDM, or Atmospheric Techno styles.

Animate Buttons, mod wheel, aftertouch and velocity

As with the other Novation Peak sound packs, "Limbic Drift" makes use of the controllers to manipulate and completely reshape the sound character in realtime. By using the Animate buttons, new variations of a sound can be accessed at the press of a button, or subtle modulations can be activated.

The assignments of the Modwheel and Aftertouch also often go far beyond the typical vibrato and filter cutoff standards. This allows the sounds to be completely transformed using just these controllers.

Easy Installation

Novation Peak and Summit “Limbic Drift” is shipped digitally as a SysEx file to use within Novation’s Components Librarian. To install the presets, just connect your Peak or Summit with the Components software and open the included file. You can choose whether you want to transfer the whole pack or just single patches to your synth.

All soundsets, samples, instruments, and presets from Limbic Bits are royalty-free and can be used for commercial or non-commercial music production, film scoring, game audio, and similar creative applications.


You are free to release, distribute, and perform works created using these sounds in any medium.

Restrictions: You may not

  • Resell, share, or distribute any Limbic Bits products or sound files in their original or derivative form.
  • Use any part of the content to create competing sound libraries, sample packs, or synthesizer presets.
